Committed to A Higher Standard
Our Education Department is committed to providing quality educational programming for all of our employees and the community in which we serve. A variety of classes, including CPR and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), are taught to employees and community members on a regular basis. Also available to all employees is the Health and Sciences Television Network (HSTN), a satellite education program. All HSTN classes are available on video cassette for employees to sign out through the education library.

Scope of Services
The goals of the department include providing structured general and nursing orientation programs to enhance the growth of newly employed staff members, ongoing in-service education, continuing education to assist staff in meeting re-licensure requirements, participation in community education efforts, and to serve as a resource in developing patient education programs/materials, as well as to provide resources for physicians and members of the management team.

The Education Department assists in the assessment of competency monitoring, and maintains educational record documentation for all employees. The education department can be reached at 205-752-5050.
