Catheter Ablation
Catheter ablation is a procedure that eliminates cells in your heart in order to eliminate an abnormal heart rhythm.

An electrode catheter is threaded into the heart to the exact location of the abnormal electrical pathway. Radio frequency waves are then sent through the catheter to destroy the cells in this part of the heart only, which prevents further heart rhythm disturbances.

Regional is the only hospital in the region to perform ablations on patients in Atrial Fibrillation.
